Belzer in the Community: September 2024

Welcome to the September edition of Belzer in the Community! It was a busy month, but we wouldn’t want it any other way! Keep reading for highlights of our internal events as well as Dozinky Days, Rhythm & Brews, and the Lakeville Art Festival.

Food Drive 

September was Hunger Action Month! Jeff Belzer’s hosted a food drive from September 9th to the 21st at all locations (Lakeville, Roseville, and New Prague). Between the three stores, we collected over 120 pounds of food to benefit 360 Communities! This non-profit not only has a food shelf to help fight food insecurity, but they also have advocacy training and support groups for domestic violence along with many other programs. Consider donating or volunteering! 

LPSF Police & Firefighter’s Ball 

Jeff Belzer’s has been a longtime, proud supporter of the Lakeville Public Safety Foundation. We were thrilled to be a sponsor of the Police & Firefighters Ball this month. This event is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating our local law enforcement officers and firefighters that serve and protect us. What a great night of supporting our local heroes! Thank you to LPSF for the work you do in our community. 

Car Seat Clinic

Jeff Belzer’s New Prague hosted a Car Seat Clinic to educate parents about the Minnesota car seat laws that changed on August 1st. Thank you to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office for coming out! Read a full recap of the evening to learn about what changed. 

Golf Events 

Lakeville North Girls Basketball Big Buckets Golf Event 

Jeff Belzer’s once again sponsored the Lakeville North Girls Basketball golf event. They had a great day of raising money for the program.  We are a team sponsor as well and wish the girls the best of luck this season! 

Brooklyn Park Police Federation Charity Golf Event 

For the first time, we supported the Brooklyn Park Police Federation Charity golf tournament. This event raised money for the MN 100 Club and various community charities. What a great way to bring together the Federation along with their friends and families! 

Holy Cross Catholic School: A Round for the Kids 

Every year, the Holy Cross Catholic School in Webster puts on the A Round for the Kids golf event. This raises money for their school and programming. Jeff Belzer’s was a proud sponsor of the event and had a team out on the course. 

Providence Academy Girls Basketball Booster Golf Event 

It was a busy month for girls basketball! Along with the Lakeville North team, we supported the Providence Academy team as well by sponsoring a hole at their golf event. It was a beautiful day for golf!  

Lakeville Art Festival 

The Lakeville Art Festival is a beloved event that brings Lakeville as well as surrounding communities together. It is a huge event held on the grounds of the Lakeville Area Arts Center and welcomes artists from the whole state. From paintings to pottery to jewelry to woodworking, you are sure to find something that speaks to you. Jeff Belzer’s has been a longtime sponsor of this event, and we were glad to support again this year. We had a new Chevrolet Traverse on the grounds to show off as well.  

Dozinky Days 

Dozinky Days is the New Prague town festival. 2024 marked the 40th anniversary of this festival, and the community certainly showed up! During the parade, the whole main street was filled with spectators. Jeff Belzer’s had a great time driving vehicles in the parade and throwing out candy and koozies. Did you see our Chevy Silverado and Ford Bronco Raptor? There were a huge variety of events to attend and all were great successes! We were happy to be the exclusive Safety Sponsor of this integral community event.  

Sparkle Conference 

Every year, the River Valley Church puts on the Sparkle Conference. This conference is a two-day event filled with speakers, uplifting worship, the Woman of the Year presentation, and a Sparkle Boutique. It was held at River Valley’s Apple Valley Campus, and we were thrilled to go out to the Boutique as a sponsor of the event. We were able to interact with the attendees, give away some SWAG, and promote our content series dedicated to families and vehicles that work for them, Road Ready with Allye. 

Rhythm & Brews 

This fall event at CHS Field brought together local vendors and artists for an incredible day. Attendees could sample various beverages, participate in a ladder ball or cornhole tournament, enjoy the music, or check out a vehicle from Jeff Belzer’s! We brought out a Kia Telluride to showcase and held a social media giveaway. If you tagged Jeff Belzer’s on Facebook or Instagram, you had a chance of winning a pair of AirPods Pro 2! It was a great time, and we look forward to next year! 

PLAY Miracle League Ground-Breaking Event 

The Prior Lake Athletics for Youth organization has been raising money to complete a Miracle League field at Ryan Park. The Miracle League field will be accessible to children with physical and mental disabilities, creating an inclusive space for sports. The organization was thrilled to announce that they would be breaking ground, and held an amazing community event in September to celebrate the milestone. Jeff Belzer’s is a proud sponsor of the Miracle League project, and we look forward to watching this field being built!
