Belzer in the Community: July 2024
Welcome to the July edition of Belzer in the Community! This month has been filled with exciting events and community engagement, from the New Prague Fireworks lighting up the sky to the unforgettable performances at Lakefront Music Fest. We joined the festivities at Pan-O-Prog, saw stunning vehicles at Cars and Caves, and rocked the docks with live music. Jeff Belzer’s is excited to share more about all the festivites July brought.
New Prague Fireworks
We started July off with a bang – literally! The New Prague fireworks had a beautiful evening for their firework show, and it did not disappoint. It was the brightest and longest show yet, with thousands gathered at the middle school to watch the spectacle. There was music, food vendors, and our Jeff Belzer’s tent. As a sponsor, we displayed the all-new body style 2024 Chevrolet Traverse and handed out SWAG. This is one of our favorite events of the year, and we cannot wait for 2025!
Rock the Docks
High & Mighty performed at Charlie’s on Prior’s Rock the Docks over the 4th of July weekend and brought an incredible energy to the stage, captivating the audience from the first note. Their set had everyone on their feet, dancing and singing along all night long. The atmosphere was electric, and High & Mighty made the night truly unforgettable. It was a perfect celebration of community and music with the lively crowd fueling the band’s performance.
Lakefront Music Fest
Lakefront Music Fest is one of our biggest events of the year. The Prior Lake Rotary did a phenomenal job putting together this festival – with tens of thousands of attendees, this is no easy feat. As a Diamond Sponsor, Jeff Belzer’s had the opportunity to go on-stage, where we sent t-shirts flying into the crowd with a t-shirt launcher. It was a great weekend listening to Rock legends Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Berlin, and Bachman-Turner Overdrive on Friday and Dierks Bentley, Elle King, and Morgan Evans on Saturday. Pan-O-Prog
Lakeville’s town festival, Pan-O-Prog, is in a constant state of evolution and progress. Every year, the committee adds more events onto the schedule, creating a huge sense of excitement within the community. One of these legacy events is Cruise Night. Every year, the event brings in hundreds of classic cars to take to the streets of downtown Lakeville, with thousands of attendees watching. Jeff Belzer’s was once again the sponsor of Cruise Night and had a wonderful time leading the cruise and interacting with the community at the high school. 11th Annual Duck Cup Memorial Golf Tournament
Although warm, the Duck Cup Memorial had a perfect day for their 11th Annual Golf Tournament. Founded in New Prague in 2013, this organization is dedicated to ending the stigma surrounding mental health and promote prevention rather than responding to a crisis after an incident occurs. They do this through education within school systems, seminars, and raising money through various events. Jeff Belzer’s has been a proud sponsor of the Duck Cup Memorial Golf Tournament for years and looks forward to continuing to support this organization’s mission.
Cars & Caves
For the first time, Jeff Belzer’s was a sponsor of the American Show of Cars & Caves this July. It featured makes of Ford, GM, Mopar, and Pontiac, although all makes and models were welcome. We brought out a Ram 1500 and handed out SWAG to the car community attending. The number of vehicles and attendees was outstanding, and we enjoyed looking at the variety of vehicles and garages. One of our favorites, Cars Against Crime, showcased replica movie vehicles and even hat Batman out to take photos of the kids. They donate all proceeds to various organizations within the community that are dedicated to first responders.
Upcoming Events
Jeff Belzer’s Classic Car Show
Join us on Thursday, August 22nd from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at our Lakeville location for a classic car show! The Classic Corvettes of Minnesota Club will be joining along with Cars Against Crime, who will bring their famous movie replica vehicles. Be prepared to see thy Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, The Delorian, and more! The community will be filling our lot with their classic vehicles and the event will be open to the public. Food trucks will also be out there, so bring the whole family! The address is 21111 Cedar Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044. We will see you there!
